The
September exhibit at The Studio is "Lacunae", photography by Evelyn
Lamprey. These quiet black and white images are a perfect way to ease
out of summer, and wander into the possibilities they present.
The dictionary defines lacunae as "an empty space or missing part". The evocative images invite the viewer to speculate on the missing part. Is it the sitter on the bench? The water in a glass? You won't leave unaffected by the beauty and connection in these photographs. "Lacunae" is Evelyn's first solo exhibit.
The exhibit opens with a reception for the artist on Thursday September 6th from 5-8pm. The work will be on view through October 6th.

The best way to find out about what's going on is to "like" The Studio on Facebook. There you'll find news about what's new in the shop as well as other events going on. The Sunset Dessert Parties on top of the Laconia parking garage have been a hit, and I think we can continue through September. The dates will be the 11th and 25th - rough "start" time is 6:30 (because the sun sets earlier). Come for the fun - lots of photos out there of the great chalk drawings, music and sparklers!
Happy September, and see you at The Studio!
